The father of lies has already been defeated. John 16:11 talks about the Holy Spirit bringing us conviction on the judgment that is to come. For what? Because most people here on earth live life as though God is not watching. There’s too many “Christians” living a life full of sin! The Holy Spirit active on the inside of us keeps us aware of the devil’s schemes to suck us back into a life of sin and eternal damnation. When Jesus rose from the dead, He took the keys of death, hell and the grave from the Satan (Rev. 1:18). His power was stripped from him, but his judgment is still pending.  

Revelation 20:10 says, “Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” This place that God created strictly for the devil will have cohabiters. Revelations 21:8 says, “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars–their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” To understand this coming judgment is to understand the power and dominion God has over the devil through the blood of His Son!

Knowing what awaits him, that dumb devil works overtime dragging people with him to that place of torment. The only way the devil can attack is by trying to convince you of a power that he no longer has. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” How can we cast down or bring every thought into captivity that the devil has placed in our minds? By Speaking in that heavenly language! Those thoughts of suicide, that you’re not good enough, that there’s no point in living for God, all of those lies will be destroyed by that wonderful power called the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will keep you in line while making you aware of the POWER you have to overcome all evil. 

Don’t be among those believers who’ve never experienced God’s POWER. Don’t sit on the sidelines and wait for Jesus to come. Allow the Holy Spirit to baptize you so that you can exercise your truest potential in God. You have dominion over every temptation. You have power over ever sickness and disease. The Holy Spirit is your Helper!
