What to fast?
If you are fasting from 6:00am to 6:00pm, then just drink water as much as possible. You can drink coffee, however do not add half and half or sugar, you can put a little bit of whole milk in it. You can drink tea. Do not drink protein shakes, milkshakes, smoothies, frappuccino's, or anything thick and filling. After 6:00pm you can have whatever you want for dinner.
Can you do a juice fast?
No, juice has a lot of sugar in it. Do not substitute juice for water.
Can you drink tea during a fast?
Yes. The brand of tea Pastor Jonathan likes is Tea Forté.
If you are over the age of 70, should you fast?
You do not need to fast if you are 70 years of age or older. Pastor Enoch Adeboye has fasted 21 days or longer at the age of 80, but he also exempts those who are 70 years of age or older to fast. If you are 70 years or older and want to fast you can, but if you don’t feel to, then you do not need too. Nevertheless, everyone should pray, whether you fast or not.

Should I do the Daniel Fast When Fasting 21 Days?
No, in Daniel chapter 9, he spoke about how he fasted. However, when the Bible talks about him waiting for his answer, Daniel never once said he was fasting. He was 90 years old at the time and decided to go on a specific diet, until he received his answer. He went on a diet that could sustain his life for however long necessary.

Tell them the rewards and benefits that come with fasting in praying.
What can you have when you fast without breaking at 6pm?

Can you take vitamins when you're fasting?
It depends on the vitamins, because some vitamins you cannot take on an empty stomach.
