It’s so important to be confident. And part of confidence is having a boldness. The first step to gaining access to your desires is actually having a desire! You have to have a target- a goal- in order to attain it. Most people do not truly believe what the Word of God says for their life.

Maybe it’s a physical healing, maybe it’s entering into that promiseland, or maybe it’s to fulfill those desires of your heart. Whatever it may be, there has to be a spirit of boldness that comes on the inside of you in order to access what it is you desire. You will never gain access to what you desire without the spirit of boldness!

So what is the opposite of the spirit of boldness? The opposite of the spirit of boldness is the spirit of timidity.

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.“

So we understand that the greatest enemy for receiving access what it is you desire from God- is fear! If the devil can get you bound up in fear, you won’t ever want to desire something from God. Instead, you will just give up and quit.

There has to be something on the inside of you that is BOLD! You must go after what God says you can have, what the Word says you can have, with BOLDNESS! The greatest hindrance of most people’s lives is not going after the things of God with boldness in their heart, and instead they get stuck in fear and timidity.

Some people will say that they are not bold because they have a shy personality. And if you BELIEVE that, it WILL manifest in your life- because what you believe and what you speak, manifests as your reality.

And as parents this is especially important to remember- because fear is something that is deposited. Your actions and your words to your children can instill fear from a young age. Fear is imparted to you in the same way boldness is. There is no other way to receive the spirit of boldness other than impartation.

In order to receive the impartation of the spirit of boldness, you must understand what the Word of God says and begin to declare it over your life. You are fed fear every single day. Through television, through conversations- we are constantly inundated with fear. And when you live in fear, you cannot go after what God has for you! Look through the Word of God- all of the men and women who did something worth remembering and impactful in their life- they all had to banish fear from their life.

Romans 8:15 “So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”

So we understand that there is a spirit that keeps us in the bondage of fear. Fear will hold you back, push you down, and snuff out what God desires for your life! Fear will grip a person and they won’t be able to move forward. That spirit of fear is sent by the enemy to hold you down and make you a slave to it!

Once we understand that God didn’t us a spirit of fear, but he gave us a spirit of boldness, then things will begin to change. We have access to the promises of God- that are taken with boldness! You will not have access to something you’re afraid of, or an outcome that you’re actually afraid of.

We’ve all heard someone say something like “Well we know what the Word of God says, but we also have to use wisdom. And so yes we believe what the Word says but we also believe that God has his hand on men and it’s important to rely on the wisdom of men to help us too.” But the Bible says that leaning on the arm of flesh will cause you to fail! The Word of God cannot come back void of fruit and result!

Fear is sent from the enemy to hold you back! FEAR has been described using the acronym False Evidence Appearing Real- meaning that even if something is factually correct you don’t have to believe it! Maybe someone told you that you aren’t smart enough to do this or that. Maybe someone told you that you didn’t have the right personality for that kind of business. Maybe you believe that healing is for some people, but not for you.

God’s Word says that ALL THINGS are possible to him who believes! We serve a supernatural God who is the business of working in a supernatural way! Stop declaring the opposite of what God’s Word says. Stop declaring the opposite of what God has for you in your life. Start declaring the goodness of God over your life. You can have what the Word of God says you can have. And you will never possess your promises until you have the spirit of boldness.

Do you have something in your mind that you’re believing for? Something for your business? Your personal life? Your relationships? Are you desiring a child?

The enemy’s only power is deception. If he could have you believe that the Word of God is inactive, or something that cannot be trusted- you will be shackled and unable to grow in your faith.

It’s time to get in your Word and start declaring it over your life and accessing your promises with boldness!
