“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

The Webster’s dictionary defines condemn as “ To pronounce to be utterly wrong; to utter a sentence of disapprobation against; to censure; to blame. But the word often expresses more than censure or blame, and seems to include the idea of utter rejection.” Most Christians that are raised in church or have been saved for more than a few years will have condemnation as their biggest hurdle to their faith.

Guilt or condemnation if allowed, will choke out the seed of God’s Word in your heart. This is the tactic the devil will use to weaken your faith.  Think about the power of condemnation, it puts blame on you and pronounces the right things you’re doing as WRONG! Condemnation tries to prove your faith wrong!  This is the breeding ground for DOUBT!

Maybe you’ve had a well meaning person ask you  “What door did you open for this attack to happen?” or “If you were stronger in faith, this wouldn’t have happened!” The last thing you want to meditate on is failure! This is the first step in the devils attempt to destroy your walk with the Lord.

John 3:17 says, “ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” God’s not in heaven ticked off that you took an advil. He’s not in heaven ready to pronounce a curse on you because you took your child to the doctors. Don’t allow yourself to feel guilty! Don’t allow yourself to feel condemnation in an area of attack!  If you allow this to happen, chances are, you’re going to want to quit!

I often wonder  why people who get saved received their miracles so quickly and it’s because of condemnation. As a new believer, it’s easy to trust and rely on God to come through for you because you’ve not allowed condemnation or religion to intercept your faith! Why does the average christian allow themselves to be jaded in the things of God? Why can’t we remain steadfast in our faith? CONDEMNATION!

You will continue to beat yourself up over little things instead of finding out what the Word has to say and APPLYING it to your life. We’re in these bodies made of flesh and we were never guaranteed an attack free life. But we were guaranteed the VICTORY! If we allow the devil to trick us out of our promises, he’ll win every battle.

Psalm 34:22 says, “The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.” When you turn to God, He’ll never reject you or condemn you! When you do things to invoke your faith, God looks down and says, “That’s it! That’s what you should do!” In fact, you have a heavenly host of people cheering you on in this life of faith! Heb. 12:1-3 says, “ Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Throw it off! Throw off the guilt and condemnation! Throw off everything that hinders your faith from working!

Stay on this road! Don’t give up and quit! Work the works of God (John 9:4)! Be encouraged and take heart! Stay the course and watch God turn it around for you and your family! This is the best life to live! Keep your hope in God alone!
