Psalm 37:2-6 “For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither. ³ Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. ⁴ Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. ⁵ Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. ⁶ He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.”

The Bible teaches us that the wicked will be cut down and the godly will prosper.

2 Chronicles 26:5 “Uzziah sought God during the days of Zechariah, who taught him to fear God. And as long as the king sought guidance from the Lord, God gave him success.”

Wickedness brings destruction, righteousness brings prosperity.

Psalm 37:4 teaches us that when you delight yourself in the Lord, God doesn’t just meet your needs, He gives you the desires of your heart!

1 Timothy 6:9-12, 17 “But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. ¹⁰ For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. ¹¹ But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. ¹² Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses…..17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.”

Matthew 7:11 “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.”

You are not blessed only to be a blessing. There is an aspect that is SO important to Christianity and that is God loves you and that is the primary reason why He blesses you.

God gives seed to the sower, and bread to the eater. You are both! God not only will give you seed to sow, but He will also give you bread to eat. Not everything is bread to eat, nor is everything seed to sow.

We are commanded to be fruitful. Fruitfulness is your portion. We are not created to be in lack, we are created to create abundance. It’s the God-nature in us! Christians are need meeters, not need havers.

Blessing is a result of the anointing.

God loves you- the primary reason that God blesses you is because He loves you.

God loves the lost, but he also loves the saved! God cares about you. God doesn’t bless you so you can be a blessing, he blesses you because he loves you. And you become a blessing because you love God.

What God cares about, you then care about. Don’t let religion dupe you into thinking that you’re nothing more than a means to an end. He blesses you because He loves you! You are blessed to be a blessing but that is NOT the primary reason. God blesses you because He loves you.

God is a good father! If an earthly father loves to bless his children, how much more does God love to bless His children? God likes to bless you.

This world was not created for the devil’s children to enjoy. This world was created for God’s children to enjoy. The best of life is reserved for God’s children. You are a child of God. You are a child of the King. You are a co-heir with Christ. The blessing of Abraham belongs to you! You are blessed! You are not an employee of God, you are a child of God! He cares about you and delights in seeing you blessed.
