BIBLE PROPHECY
August 7, 2019
Tune in as Evangelist Jonathan Shuttlesworth teaches “What God Taught Me at Age 19 That Changed My Life” live from the Revival Today Studio.
God doesn’t move randomly in your life, God is moved by your desperation and spiritual hunger.
Matthew 5:6 “God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.“
Psalms 42:1 “As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.”
God responds to a cry in your heart- where you are not satisfied with where you are at. Be content with what God has given you, but don’t be content to stay there. Everything in the believer’s life is supposed to grow. You should have a hunger to change levels.
God responds to spiritual hunger. When we stand before God we will give an account for what we did with what we were given. Did you bury what we were given, or did you multiply it? Religion tries to take that desire and hunger out of you. God will never leave you where you’re at if you cooperate with Him.
Faith is the facilitator of grace. It takes something to access the grace that is given to you. By grace are you saved through faith. The Word of God is what brings increase. The Word of God builds faith, and the stronger your faith, the more grace you access, and the more grace you access, the higher you fly in life.
Desperation and spiritual hunger should never be scolded. Find out what your calling is in life and then access your promotion by faith. Get out of meetings and church services that repeatedly tell you “Your season is coming.” Things don’t happen arbitrarily. Things happen when someone gets hungry!
From the Bible, here are 4 things that you have the right to be hungry for:
Matthew 15:21-28 “ Then Jesus left Galilee and went north to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Gentilewoman who lived there came to him, pleading, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! For my daughter is possessed by a demon that torments her severely.”
23 But Jesus gave her no reply, not even a word. Then his disciples urged him to send her away. “Tell her to go away,” they said. “She is bothering us with all her begging.”
24 Then Jesus said to the woman, “I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep—the people of Israel.”
25 But she came and worshiped him, pleading again, “Lord, help me!”
26 Jesus responded, “It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.”
27 She replied, “That’s true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their masters’ table.”
28 “Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.”
When MY faith says yes, God will never say no. God is moved by faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
Wherever you are in life, you are where you desire to be.
What do you have scriptural grounds to rise up from?
One. Freedom from bondage. It is scriptural to have a desire to be free from the oppression of the devil. You don’t have to stay housebound because of the oppression of panic attacks. You can be free now!
Two. There is nothing wrong in having a hunger for victory.
1 Samuel 13:3 “Soon after this, Jonathan attacked and defeated the garrison of Philistines at Geba. The news spread quickly among the Philistines. So Saul blew the ram’s horn throughout the land, saying, “Hebrews, hear this! Rise up in revolt!” ”
Samuel’s son Jonathan didn’t wait for victory.
Deuteronomy 28:13 “If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.”
God has bestowed continuous victory on me. God didn’t only give you victory- He gave you victory after victory. Remember, whatever you’re around will rub on off on you. Impartation comes from association. So if you hang around people who excuse defeat, you’ll have defeat. If you got knocked down, you don’t have to stay knocked down! You don’t have to stay in defeat. You may have had a failure, but YOU’RE not a failure!
Life doesn’t have to finish how it started. Wherever you’re at right now, you don’t have to stay there. You can desire victory.
Three. You have Biblical grounds to have the miracle power of God now in this life.
Matthew 9:27-30 “After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” 28 They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.” 29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” 30 Then their eyes were opened, and they could see! Jesus sternly warned them, “Don’t tell anyone about this.”
God permits what you permit! You don’t have be die, be crippled, or lose your vision- God will do a miracle for you!
Four. You can have spiritual hunger for God’s best.
1 Samuel 1:12-20 “As she was praying to the Lord, Eli watched her. 13 Seeing her lips moving but hearing no sound, he thought she had been drinking. 14 “Must you come here drunk?” he demanded. “Throw away your wine!” 15 “Oh no, sir!” she replied. “I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the Lord. 16 Don’t think I am a wicked woman! For I have been praying out of great anguish and sorrow.” 17 “In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.” 18 “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad. 19 The entire family got up early the next morning and went to worship the Lord once more. Then they returned home to Ramah. When Elkanah slept with Hannah, the Lord remembered her plea, 20 and in due time she gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, for she said, “I asked the Lord for him.”
1 Samuel 2:1-2 “Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me. 2 No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.”
A son wasn’t a need. A son was a desire. The Bible says to delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. But it doesn’t fall in your lap, Hannah was desperate for it! You can desire God’s best. The children of God should have the best!
Did you know you can reach out in faith for God’s best in life? You’re not a second class citizen, you’re a child of the King. Don’t ever let anyone in life beat you down for wanting God’s best. His best belongs to you, but you have to reach out and take it by your faith.
