What is the purpose of Christianity? What does Jesus Christ bring to your life? One of the problems of this life that only Christ can solve is the purpose problem.

Many people don’t know what the purpose of their life is. Have you ever asked someone how they are doing, or how their day is going so far, and they respond something similar to, “Oh you know it’s Monday….”

Life without purpose is just a burden. Without a purpose, you have to set your alarm in the morning just to get up and do stuff you hate all day. But you DO have a purpose in Christ! God knew you in your mother’s womb.

Jeremiah 1:4-5  “The Lord gave me this message: ‘I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.’

God knew you before you were even formed in your mother’s womb. He has a plan for your life now, and always has! He had a plan and a purpose for your life before you were ever even born.

Some people wonder why Christians are so strong for pro life, but you can’t read that verse and think any other way.

The Word of God says before you were fully formed in your mother’s womb that He knew you even then. God has a holy destiny for your life. You are not just a result of a weekend hook up, or even your parent’s marriage! God has a glorious plan for your life. You are not just a collection of biological matter or cells like the world teaches. That plan that God purposed for you way back in your mother’s womb is still available to you now.

Psalm 37:23 “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”

The steps of a righteous man are ordered of the Lord. Do you know what a comfort that verse is? If you listen to His voice, God will lead you and direct you. God is very interested in every detail of your life. You don’t have to make wrong steps in life. Even from your youth, you can involve God in the affairs of your life.

Psalm 139:15-16 “You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”

Christianity solves the purpose problem in this life. When people have no purpose in life, Christ is the answer.

Living a life with no purpose can lead you to wishing it was the end of the day when it just begins. And then at the end of the day, you wish you could fast forward until morning. That’s not the way life is supposed to be! Life is a joy when you spend it serving God.

God will order your steps. You have a destiny. God wants you use you. He is not finished with you, whether you are young or old. It’s time to stop living your life your own way. If you are ready for a greater purpose in your life then it is time to repent of sin and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

“Dear Heavenly Father, I turn my back on sin. I won’t live my own way. I want to live walking in the steps you have ordered for my life. Forgive me of my sins, and wash me in the blood. I believe in my heart You raised Jesus from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I am on my way to Heaven and I will not turn back. Amen.”
